2005 UK General Election blog
This began when Mike Glover, editor of the Westmorland Gazette, spotted that I had no interest in politics and disliked politicians. I was, he reasoned, the ideal person to cover the election from a local perspective. This blog covered the election from start through to polling day and the shock result for South Lakeland. It saw the introduction of the Tim-O-Meter and the formation of a new feeble force in British politics ... The Apathy Party.

On The Rocks blog
The play, On The Rocks, was performed to sell-out audiences at The Brewery Arts Centre in 2006. Written by Andrew Thomas and myself, it related 24 hours in the life of Lakeland's least competent (and fictional) mountain rescue team. This blog tracked the rehearsal and performance process. It was quite successful in that it captures the feel of the process without offending too many of the actors.
