Children's books are always fun to do but two projects in particular stand out. ROCKY RAMBLER'S WILD WALKS by Iain Peters and myself, is an attempt to bring something totally new to the family walks book market. It is the first Lakeland guide which puts the children in control, with colourful maps, puzzles and hints to guide them round the walk. The book has been a tremendous success with over 14,000 sold.

ALBERT'S CHRISTMAS ADVENTURE, from Penwizard, breaks new technological ground. It is a completely customisable children's book. Once you have selected your child's name, appearance, friends and pets from the Penwizard website, the entire books is customised - including the illustrations - printed digitally and delivered to your door in five days. Each page illustration has up to 80 variations built into the Adobe Illustrator file. This was the first book of its kind, where both the illustrations and the text were customised to order.
